PORSCHE 911 GT1'96 / PORSCHE MUSEUM ZUFFENHAUSEN

Only nine months pass between the decision in 1996 to build a street-based race car for the GT1 class and the race car's entry in Le Mans. The new factory vehicles succed in dominating their class and the overall victory is lost only because the underbody and front hood on Hans-Joachim Stuck's car have to be replaced following an avoidance maneuver. Ultimately the 911 GT1 is beaten only by another Porsche - the WSC Spyder.

Model Year:1996 / Engine: 6 Zyl.-Boxer / Displacement 3200ccm / Power Output: 600 PS
